Privacy
CheQpick is a concept demo built to be inspectable. This page lists exactly what is stored in your browser, the two moments something is sent to a server, and how to wipe it all.
Which cards you hold and the usage you set live in your browser’s storage. There is no account and no database of users.
We never ask for a card number, CVV, expiry, name or phone. You pick a card from a catalog — that is all a “card” is here.
No analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no tracking cookies.
The reward engine runs in your browser. Recommendations are computed on your device, not on a server.
On your device
| Key | What it holds | Where | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| cheqpick.wallet.v1 | Which catalog cards you hold, your default card and the usage numbers you set (spend so far, cap used). | localStorage | Until you remove it |
| cheqpick.plan.v1 | The purchase rows in “Plan my month” and the preset you picked. | localStorage | Until you remove it |
| cheqpick.motion.v1 | Your “Reduce motion” preference. | localStorage | Until you remove it |
| cheqpick.recent.v1 | The last few purchases you typed on the Pick page. | sessionStorage | This tab only |
| cheqpick.plan.seed.v1 | A one-shot hand-off when you tap “Plan my month” from a result. | sessionStorage | Consumed immediately |
| cheqpick.assistant.v1 | Your Ask CheQpick conversation (so it survives a refresh). | sessionStorage | This tab only |
Leaves your browser
Both go through our API to an AI model (OpenAI GPT-4o-mini via the platform’s key). We don’t store the requests or the replies; the assistant is stateless and your conversation only lives in your tab.
When the rules parser can’t understand a purchase
The sentence you typed (for example “paid the plumber 2500”) is sent to our server, which forwards it to an AI model to extract the amount, merchant and category. Nothing about your wallet is included.
When you ask the assistant something the engine can’t answer itself
Your message, the last few messages of that conversation and a compact summary of your wallet (card names, rates, how much of each cap you’ve used, your latest result and month plan) are sent so the model can answer from your data. Questions the engine can answer directly never leave your browser.
Ordinary hosting logs
Like any website, the host records basic request logs (time, path, IP address) for reliability. They are not joined to anything about your wallet.
Cookies
None set by CheQpick. Everything uses browser storage you can inspect and clear.
Removes every key in the table above from this browser. Your own browser’s “clear site data” does the same thing.
